Knockout Operator – Aerospace Titanium Production – Swing Shift
This role is a full‑time, non‑management position focused on the safe removal of shells, gates, and risers from parts to produce rough castings.

Primary PurposeThe Knockout Operator is responsible for the safe removal of shells, gates, and risers from parts to produce rough castings.
Duties and Responsibilities- Remove shells from basic/non‑complex parts using a water blaster, sand blaster, and hand tools.
- Assist Senior Operators in removing shell casings from parts, using the caustic tank.
- Assist Senior Operators in utilizing a cutting torch and band saw to cut off smaller, non‑complex parts.
- Perform inspections to ensure that machinery and equipment in the department are used safely.
- May be required to manage hazardous wastes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge and understanding of safe working standards and practices.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with others as a supportive team member.
- High School diploma or GED (preferred).
- Experience operating a forklift (preferred).
- Ability to work effectively with all levels in a fast‑paced environment.
- Compliance with general company attendance standards (required).
- HS diploma or equivalent GED required; candidates without this who possess relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Solid job history with more than one year at a previous or recent employer.
- Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment background check.
- Willingness to participate in pre‑employment and periodic drug screening.
- Previous experience operating a cutting torch (preferred).
- Exposure to dust, dirt, heat, cold, noise, and vibration.
- Must wear hearing and eye protection when performing duties.
- The job is often performed under somewhat disagreeable working conditions; exposure to any or all of the mentioned elements is likely, with at least one present to the extent of being disagreeable.
Swing Shift.
