Overview
Looking for a rewarding career with a company that values people, growth, sustainability, and teamwork? Join our Duraflake team as a Production Technician. This role is on a 12-hour shift schedule, either fixed day or night shifts, with night shifts required as needed.
What We Are Looking For- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing and able to be certified to safely operate a forklift or other mobile equipment in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to: dusty (wood dust), hot, cold, or wet
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Post offer, you must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical capability assessment
- The entry-level wage is $21.80 an hour, with an increase to $24.75 after completion of your 6 months probationary period and successful completion of your onboarding training plan. Plus, an additional $2.00 per hour for any employees on our night shift

- Respond to upset conditions and work closely with any and all team members to address problems
- Communicate with team members about production line activities, any upset conditions experienced, and follow up on the resolution
- Properly complete product changes and productively operate the equipment
- Create maintenance requests for equipment problems in a timely manner and follow-up as needed to ensure work is completed
- Actively participate in any problem-solving meetings and contribute to improving processes
- Complete paperwork and electronic entries as necessary
- Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery
- Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment
- Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects
- Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures
