A Mold Firing operator sets up and runs multiple firing furnaces; sorts and serializes the different molds for various firing cycles.

• Set up and run multiple mold firing furnaces.
• Load castings in and out of firing furnaces as per SOPs.
• Sort and serialize the different molds for various cycles.
• Maintain accurate mold firing logs for all molds.
• Perform routine maintenance on the mold firing furnaces (thermal couplers).
• Perform temperature uniformity survey per PCP requirements.
• Keep a log and appropriate paperwork for all parts run in firing furnaces.
• Coordinate and schedule all mold firing runs.
• Use a personal computer to certify heats, track events, and document deviations.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with employees from other departments to expedite molds into firing.
• Work in a responsible, safe, and professional manner.

• Basic math ability, including addition.
• Capable of understanding and following verbal and written instructions and procedures.
• Basic computer skills for retrieving, organizing, and saving files and emails.
• Previous experience working in manufacturing and production; aerospace castings preferred.
• Good communication skills at all levels within the organization.
• Ability to interact effectively with co‑workers and supervisors in a positive manner.
• Solid job history including more than one year at a previous or recent employer.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Willing to undergo a pre‑employment background check.
• Willing to participate in pre‑employment and periodic drug screening.
• Must take a baseline hearing test prior to starting.
• U.S. person status is required for this position to comply with the Arms Export Control and Export Administration Act.

• Job performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, and machinery.
