About this position

The Electro-Mechanical Assembler II performs a variety of tasks to include the assembly of various mechanical and electrical assemblies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to perform all the duties of a Mechanical Assembler I and an Electrical Systems Assembler I.
  • Assemble level sensor and pneumatic panels using the plumbing schematics, assembly drawings, and bill of materials.
  • Assemble robot sub-assemblies using the assembly drawings, written instructions, and bill of materials.
  • Install all plumbing parts and assemblies using manufacturing drawings. Tack weld in all brackets using a hot air welder for plastics.
  • Run air lines from the pneumatics panel to the air operated valves, pumps, and tanks.
  • Perform fusion welds on polypropylene, PVDF, and PFA piping using a GF IR-63+ fusion welder.
  • Assist in final setting and leveling the tool prior to system testing.
  • Assist in facility equipment upgrades and facility equipment preventive maintenance/repairs.
  • Advanced knowledge of wiring practices on all platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Inspect for quality on electrical panels, subassemblies, and interconnect wiring.
  • Verify the completion of all documentation required which includes panels log, checklist, and any other quality documents needed.
  • Test and troubleshoot system power up, main safety circuit, and general I/O.
  • Interface with other departments to complete builds on schedule and resolve any manufacturing issues.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics.
  • Ability to wire electrical sub-assemblies into modules as well as integrate modules together prior to final test.
  • Act as lead during UL, CE, and ETL inspections when required.
  • Assist in training new employees to shop floor wiring and quality practices.
  • Complete all other tasks assigned as necessary regardless of department.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)
  • 2-year technical degree, military equivalent or three to five years related experience preferred with preference given to semiconductor experience.
  • 3 years manufacturing assembly experience in semiconductor preferred.
  • Ability to perform hot flaring on PFA tubing, assemble PVC piping.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints.
  • Knowledgeable on semiconductor industry fittings and thread types.
  • Basic computer skills to review drawings, bill of materials, chemical compatibility of components, and installation instructions for various components.
  • Knowledgeable of AC/DC control circuits and systems including System Control Circuits, Safety Circuits, Motor and Heater Control Circuits, Robotic Systems, Pneumatic Control and PLC/PC Control Based systems.
  • Experienced with Codes and Standards, NEC, NFPA
    70 and 79, UL508A.
  • Knowledgeable of electrical safety hazards and the proper labeling and/or protection needed.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written work instruction.
  • Ability to effectively understand and operate within safety guidelines and policies.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Standard production/manufacturing environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time. Occasionally move about around production/manufacturing floor. Must be able to position self to work in and around machinery at various angles. Frequently moves equipment and gear weighing up to 50 pounds.
