Overview

Proven to Perform. From the edges of space to the bottoms of ocean, our materials are proven to perform -- and so is our team. We’re hiring high performers as proven as our products. Join us.

ATI Millersburg is seeking a Production Planner to join our team. This position is part of the Specialty Alloys and Components business unit based in Albany, Oregon and reports to the Director of Supply Chain. This is a day shift position and will be on site with no option for remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Create and update production schedules based on changes in operations execution to meet customer demands.
  • Maintain batch step dates and scheduled ship dates by SRN (shipment reschedule notification) as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure all necessary materials and resources are planned appropriately based on capacity.
  • Work closely with Area Business Engineer (ABE) to set the production plan based on customer requirements, rescheduling material flow based on feedback from the ABE. Set inventory targets and inventory action plans with the ABE to reach targets. Manage key performance indicators to compare actual production performance against standards (Production to Plan, PTP).
  • Coordinate with Planning Managers to ensure proper order management (new orders, late line recovery, quality issues requiring replanning, batch assignment, and changes in operations capability) and ensure demand does not exceed capacity — translating requirements into an operations production plan.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team as the integral communication point between operations and customers. Hold weekly connections to review production changes and required dates.
  • Oversee the production process to ensure adherence to the schedule and quality standards.
  • Identify bottlenecks, delays, or issues in the production process and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
  • Coordinate production planning with maintenance planning and scheduling needs.
  • Reschedule batches based on non-conforming material, including rework. Attend quality DMB to ensure proper communication from quality and engineering teams.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on demand vs. capacity analysis (0-3 month timeframe), on-time delivery, and inventory.
  • Participate in or lead initiatives to improve production planning processes, such as standard work, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma projects.

ATI has a Total Rewards package to attract and retain top talent. As part of our Total Rewards package, we offer a competitive base pay with variable additional compensation opportunities. This includes:
