Location:
Albany. OR.
Compensation: $22 - $25+/hr.
Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Thursday 6am - 4:30pm
Our client is a well-established precision manufacturing company looking to add an experienced Machinist to their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced machine shop environment and takes pride in producing high-quality precision components. WhatYou'll Do:
As a Machinist, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to manufacture precision parts while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities include:- Set up and operate machine tools to fabricate precision components
- Read and interpret job orders, blueprints, setup sheets, and tooling instructions
- Select the proper fixtures, tooling, and machine programs for each job
- Monitor machine operation and verify parts meet required specifications and tolerances
- Perform tooling changes, offset adjustments, and minor program edits as needed
- Read and understand CNC programs
- Troubleshoot machining issues to produce quality parts
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments
- Complete inspection reports and production documentation
- Maintain high quality standards while meeting production goals
- Read schematics and engineering drawings
- Perform a variety of general machine shop operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Assist other departments as needed

- High School Diploma or GED (technical school training is a plus)
- Minimum of 3 years of machine setup, machine operation, or related manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and setup sheets
- Experience making tooling changes, offset adjustments, and minor program edits
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to complete production paperwork accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
