Salary Range: $23.00 To $25.00 Hourly
Position Summary
The Powder Blender and Packager is responsible for accurately blending powdered materials according to established formulas and specifications, operating production and packaging equipment, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh, measure, and blend raw materials according to batch records and production instructions.
- Operate blending, mixing, filling, and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Package finished products into designated containers, bags, or cartons according to specifications.
- Verify product weights, labels, lot numbers, and packaging accuracy.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain complete and accurate production records and documentation.
- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing and packaging process.
- Follow all company safety policies, GMP requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Report equipment malfunctions, product discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory handling, material movement, and warehouse activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and team production goals.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, or warehouse experience.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills for weighing and measuring materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience working with powdered products, food manufacturing, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or similar industries.
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, or quality assurance procedures.
- Forklift certification or experience (if applicable).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, respirators, or other equipment as required.
- Ability to work in environments with airborne powders, varying temperatures, and production equipment noise.
- Manufacturing and production facility environment.
- Exposure to powders, raw materials, machinery, and packaging equipment.
