Manufacturing Area Manager

PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies seeks a Manufacturing Area Manager to lead production operations in our Salem, OR aluminum investment casting facility. In this role, you will manage a manufacturing area for safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Key duties include directing daily workflows, staffing and training operators, monitoring KPIs, driving root cause problem solving, and implementing continuous improvement and 5S.

You will partner closely with engineering, maintenance, and quality to meet aerospace and industrial customer requirements while coaching teams, enforcing standards, and supporting a culture of precision, accountability, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for a defined manufacturing area to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
• Plan and prioritize production schedules, staffing, and resource allocation
• Monitor KPIs and production metrics; report performance and take corrective actions
• Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5
• S and lean tools
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and aerospace customer standards
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and quality to resolve process and equipment issues
• Train, coach, and evaluate operators and leads; support employee development plans
• Implement and sustain standard work, work instructions, and visual management
• Support new product introductions and process changes within the area
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and precision craftsmanship
