Public Health Nurse – Maternal Child Health - Bilingual Required. This full‑time position (37.5 hours per week) is represented by SEIU and is intended to provide community health nursing services, including home visits and program planning.

• Assess, plan, evaluate and implement general community health nursing services in an assigned area or special program.
• Make home or office visits, giving direct patient care within the scope of standing orders, teaching and demonstrating nursing care, and assisting families in understanding health needs.
• Plan and exchange information with physicians and other health workers for more effective patient care; develop community organization and health service planning with community groups.
• Maintain records for nursing services to families and clinics, and produce required reports.
• Develop and maintain effective, harmonious and reasonable work relationships with others.
• This is a non‑supervisory position; may provide training and orientation to newly assigned personnel.
• Provide highly skilled professional nursing in community health and home visiting and utilize the nursing process to establish care for clients.

• Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
• Two years of current community health nursing experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in Oregon.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking). Testing requirements must be met.
• Must be able to pass a criminal history check.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must meet US Department of Homeland Security I-9 requirements.

• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Within three days of hire, must complete I-9 authorization.
