Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced LDRP Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Albany, Oregon.

This position is ideal for an RN with recent maternal-child nursing experience who is comfortable caring for patients throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum continuum.
The nurse will provide direct care to mothers and newborns, monitor maternal and fetal status, assist during deliveries, support postpartum recovery, and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or neonatal condition.
Candidates must have an active Oregon RN license, current Healthcare Provider BLS, and at least 1 year of relevant LDRP or Labor & Delivery nursing experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
  • Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments.
  • Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and uterine activity.
  • Assess labor progression and recognize changes in maternal or fetal condition.
  • Manage laboring patients within RN scope and facility protocols.
  • Assist physicians and providers during vaginal deliveries and obstetric procedures.
  • Prepare and support patients requiring cesarean delivery.
  • Provide immediate postpartum assessment and recovery care.
  • Monitor maternal vital signs, bleeding, pain, and overall recovery.
  • Perform newborn assessments and provide routine newborn care as appropriate.
  • Support neonatal stabilization and emergency response when needed.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and other ordered treatments.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Participate in shift handoffs and interdisciplinary communication.
  • Follow patient-safety, infection-control, and maternal-child nursing standards.
Required Qualifications Candidates must have
  • Active Oregon Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant LDRP, Labor & Delivery, or maternal-child nursing experience
  • Current Healthcare Provider Level BLS / BCLS
  • Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills
  • Ability to work independently in an acute-care obstetric environment
  • Strong communication and clinical judgment
  • Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts
  • Certifications — The requisition references the following certifications:
  • BLS / BCLS – Required
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • Candidates should maintain all certifications required by the facility throughout the assignment.
  • Preferred Experience

  • Night Shift
  • 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend and holiday coverage may be required depending on unit scheduling.
  • Ideal Candidate — The ideal candidate is an experienced LDRP or Labor & Delivery RN who can confidently care for mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth and recovery process.
