Job Summary:
The Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) Nurse provides specialized care for mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. They work within a family-centered environment, ensuring safe and compassionate patient care through a highly trained team.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery.
- Administer medications and assist with medical procedures as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including emergency response procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Possess an unencumbered Oregon RN license at the time of submission.
- Maintain current Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification.
- Hold AHA ACLS and NRP certifications.
- Prefer candidates with STABLE certification or equivalent.
- Demonstrate clinical proficiency in labor and delivery nursing.
- Exhibit excellent communication and patient education skills.
