We are currently hiring a Quality Engineer at our Millersburg, Oregon location reporting to the Quality Manager. This is an onsite day shift position (Monday‑Friday, 6 AM to 2 PM) and an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or someone with some manufacturing, sampling, or quality inspection experience.
As a Quality Engineer you will review quality documentation for release of products to internal and external customers, working closely with Operations, Engineering, Inspection, and Planning to ensure alignment between quality requirements and production activities.
Primary Responsibilities- Evaluate laboratory results for conformance to specifications and manage nonconformances when results fall outside acceptable limits.
- Implement risk mitigation actions to improve Right‑First‑Time compliance for contracts, manufacturing, testing, and inspection activities.
- Review process records, issue and assess process nonconformances, and prepare release documents for product certification.
- Research, read, understand and interpret customer purchase order requirements, contract agreements, specifications, and standards as they relate to customer and internal deliverables.
- Review incoming raw materials certifications and material specifications, sample, and release material for production use.
- Perform OPM inventory reviews, material transactions, and batch completion.
- Overcheck sampling execution to ensure correct techniques, frequencies, and sample integrity.
- Support continuous improvement of sampling procedures, documentation templates, and quality‑control workflows.
- Collect and analyze process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or opportunities for optimization.
- Contribute to improvement projects focused on yield, quality, sampling accuracy, or documentation reliability.
- Promote and uphold safety protocols, including handling of reactive metals, chlorination byproducts, and high‑temperature equipment.
- Support production departments through quality engagement with shop‑floor interactions, quality inspections, and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science, Metallurgical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and specifications.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work onsite in a heavy‑industrial setting and comply with all safety requirements.
- Approximately two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Quality experience and knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and quality systems.
- Working knowledge of continuous‑improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc.).

Salary range: $65,000 to $85,000 per year plus benefits. Hourly pay rates are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
