Position Overview

As an Industrial Electrician Technician, you play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of high‑speed industrial equipment within the aluminum can manufacturing process. Your responsibilities encompass the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including PLCs and automation controls. By adhering to safety standards such as NFPA 70E and collaborating across teams, you contribute to minimizing downtime, enhancing production efficiency, and supporting continuous operational excellence.

Shift schedule: 12‑hour shifts (6 am‑6 pm / 6 pm‑6 am) on a rotating 2‑3‑2 schedule. Schedules rotate from day to night shift every 4 weeks.

  • Complex troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve intricate electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintenance planning: organize, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance tasks to enhance reliability.
  • Effective communication: convey information across teams and shifts to ensure seamless operations.
  • Attention to detail: identify inefficiencies and potential electrical issues, proposing improvements.
  • Safety awareness: adhere strictly to NFPA 70E and company safety protocols.
  • Collaboration:

    foster a cooperative work environment with cross‑functional crews.
  • Training support: mentor and support on‑the‑job training (OJT) initiatives.
Skills
  • Advanced mechanical troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve issues in electrical systems ranging from 24 V to 600 V.
  • PLC programming and diagnostics (Rockwell preferred).
  • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Installation of electrical components such as conduit, wire sizing, and pulling.
  • Maintenance of VFDs, transducers, and proximity sensors.
  • Quality camera control adjustments for industrial inspection cameras.
  • Use of diagnostic tools for field measurements and control software.
Accountabilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems (24 V–600 V), including motors, VFDs, sensors, and control panels.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs (preferably Rockwell) to ensure seamless integration with production equipment.
  • Execute electrical installations and system enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Adhere to NFPA 70E and company safety protocols, implementing corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, including wiring schematics (paper and AutoCAD) and daily logs.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across shifts and departments.
  • Participate in on‑the‑job training (OJT) programs to support skill development.
Physical Environment and Working Conditions
  • Hot/Cold working conditions.
  • High noise level.
  • Standing and walking for prolonged periods.
  • Climbing (stairs and other equipment as necessary).
Qualifications & Experience
  • 4+ years in industrial electrical maintenance.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • General Electric Journeyman, Electrical Plant Journeyman, or Supervising Electrician license.
  • Relevant Technical Qualification (Electrical Technology or related field); familiarity with NFPA 70E standards.
  • Computer skills.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly Rate: $51.08/hr.
  • Eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
  • Comprehensive benefits structure; benefits start Day‑1.
