You will be a key player in bringing to life the commercial and quality vision of Inter Continental Madrid.
As General Accountant, you will report directly to the Director of Finance or, in his absence, to the Finance Manager, and will work closely with the hotel's finance team. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the areas of accounts receivable, revenue audit, nightly audit, treasury, and warehouse, ensuring the correct control of accounting and financial processes.
The position aims to guarantee the correct management of income and expense cycles, compliance with internal controls, and the reliability of financial information, promoting a work culture based on trust, integrity, respect, teamwork, and service orientation.
Additionally, you will maintain a fluid relationship with banking institutions, external auditors, tax advisors, insurance companies, and other external parties related to the company's financial activity.
What will be some of your functions?
Qualitatively, autonomously, and responsibly carry out the direction, control, and follow-up of the hotel's accounting and administrative activities.
Review and correct daily revenue journal entries.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations of accounting accounts and ensure the correct reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Review and audit payroll.
Prepare monthly financial reports and closing documentation.
Manage the financial system's accounting closure (monthly, quarterly, and annually within established deadlines).
Participate in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and corporate financial reports.
Analyze budget deviations and propose corrective measures.
Actively participate in the external audit of the annual accounts and the internal audit of the hotel.
Prepare the owner's accounting.

Job Requirements
University degree in Business Administration and Company Management, Accounting, Economics, or similar;
Master's degree in Auditing, Financial Management, or Management Control.Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting, auditing, or finance positions.
Proficiency in Spanish general accounting, internal control and audit, taxation and taxes, bank reconciliations, accounting closures, and preparation of financial statements.
Experience in managing payables, receivables, treasury, and budget control; monthly closures and corporate reporting.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of hotel management and financial systems, preferably Opera and Birch Street.
High level of English, with positive consideration for experience in international hotel environments.
