Adjunct Faculty Pool – Communication Studies
We are seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to teach Communication Studies courses, including “Principles of Public Speaking” in the Higher Education in Prison Program. Positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis, primarily face‑to‑face with the possibility of remote instruction.

Responsibilities- Teach developmental and/or college‑level courses in Communication Studies.
- Deliver distance–learning courses during day and evening, on weekdays and weekends, as needed.
- Instructors may teach primarily face‑to‑face, with possibility of remote instruction.
- Assist with special assignments as required, including emergency support.
- Master’s degree in Communication Studies or equivalent (at least 18 graduate semester hours).
- Ph.D. in Communication Studies preferred.
- Two years of teaching experience and/or related field experience.
- Experience with online teaching.
- Will be required to travel to campus or prison sites as assigned.
- Operation of a state vehicle not required.
