Adjunct Faculty Pool - General Biology

Overview

Adjunct Faculty position in General Biology. Positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis and may include both face‑to‑face and remote instruction. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

• Teach developmental and college‑level courses, including distance‑learning courses, during the day, evening, weekdays, and weekends.
• Primarily conduct face‑to‑face instruction with the possibility of remote teaching.
• Assist the agency or state government in emergencies, such as when declared by the Governor.

• Master’s degree in biology or master’s degree plus at least 18 graduate hours in biology.
• At least two years of teaching experience and work experience in the field.
• Experience with online teaching.

• State vehicle operation: no.
• Supervises employees: no.
• Required travel: no, but travel to any PVCC location, including the Giuseppe Center and correctional facilities, may be required.

The position requires travel to assigned college campus or site locations. This role will not consider candidates needing immigration sponsorship at this time.
