Job Title
Adjunct Faculty – Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
OverviewTeaching developmental and/or college–level EMS courses on a semester‑by‑semester basis, both in‑person and via distance learning, as needed. The position is located in Albemarle County, Virginia.
Responsibilities- Teach EMS courses, primarily face‑to‑face with the possibility of remote instruction.
- Develop course materials and curriculum for developmental and college‑level courses.
- Deliver classes during the day, evening, weekdays and weekends as required.
- Assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the institution.
- Paramedic:
National Registry and Virginia state licensure as a paramedic. - EMT‑B:
State of Virginia certification in the teaching area. - At least two years of teaching experience, work experience in the EMS field, and experience with online teaching.
- Expertise, knowledge, education, and a history of successful teaching or related experience in the subject area.
- History of successful teaching or related experience.
May be required to travel to college campus/site locations as assigned. The position does not supervise employees and does not require travel beyond assigned locations.
