Adjunct Faculty – Culinary Arts
Position OverviewAdjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis as needed. The role is part‑time and may include teaching developmental and/or college‑level courses, including distance‑learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends. Faculty members are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in trends in community college education.
Responsibilities- Teach developmental and/or college‑level Culinary Arts courses, including distance‑learning formats.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the Culinary Arts discipline and community college teaching trends.
- Participate in curriculum development and program assessment activities as required.
- Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or a related field.
- Two years of industry experience.
- Active Serv Safe certification.
- Preferably, two years of teaching experience and management experience in the industry.
- Experience with online teaching is an additional consideration.
- May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
- May be required to assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Must be able to travel to and from any college campus/site location as assigned.
