Position: BECA MARINE & ENVIRONMENTAL

Marine & Environmental Programmatic Intern

The formative project of MARSH aims to ensure that the external academic practices carried out by students in the company allow them to apply the knowledge acquired in their training and the acquisition of professional skills. The main objective is the integration of students into the professional environment through the development of supervised practical activities that allow the development of technical and transversal competencies.

We are looking for a talented student to develop a formative program joining the Marine & Environmental team (within the Marine, Aviation & Energy area) of the Madrid office.

Your program will focus on acquiring knowledge related to the development and support of the placement of insurance policies of:

  • Marine, Cargo & Logistics. Specialty including among others the modalities of Goods (in all its variations including Project Cargo, STP, S&T, etc.), civil liabilities of operators, maritime civil liabilities, H&M, P&I, Ports and Terminals or Repair and shipbuilding; among others.
  • Environmental Responsibility, in all possible modalities (EIL, CPL and historical pollution).

We will count on you to, under the supervision of the Tutor, be able to:

  • Assist in supervising technical industrial risk analyses.
  • Participate in the management of the Client Portfolio.
  • Participate in the elaboration of SLIPS, obtaining conditions and transfer of risk to the national and international insurance market.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of commercial presentations and market studies.
  • Support the team during the analysis and review of commercial proposals, renewal of clients, and conditions.
  • Assist in meetings with the team, both internally and with clients to know their needs in the transport sector, and propose solutions that are adapted to their needs.
  • Assist in meetings accompanying executives in the insurance markets.
  • Collaborate in the processing of claims.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from practice at the international level and in projects with other departments of the Company.

What you need to have:

  • Licensed, Graduate or Diploma preferably in ADE, Economics, Law or engineering.
  • High level of English (C1).
  • Computer skills:
    Office Package, advanced Excel
  • Availability for immediate incorporation and full-time.
  • Good organizational capacity and attention to detail
