The Opportunity

This is your chance to gain hands on experience in the Sustainability & Climate team working with experts in the field. You will be involved in helping organizations to evaluate the specific climate and sustainability issues they are facing now and in the future. Our advice spans economic planning, environmental, energy and sustainability expertise, business strategy and regulatory compliance.

As a Trainee Sustainability & Climate Consultant at Arup, you will:

  • Actively participate in a field that is clearly growing, working alongside the rest of the senior team, a group of professionals with extensive experience in the sector.
  • Get involved in sustainability certification and consulting tasks, LEED, BREEAM certifications and other tasks that may arise within the Department.
  • Will be involved from the first moment in specific sustainability consulting tasks.
  • Have the possibility of visiting the site.

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for someone dynamic and proactive that has a great interest in teamwork and in developing their career in the sustainability field. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Currently studying a degree or master's in architecture, Environmental Sciences, Building, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Fluent level of written and spoken English and Spanish skills (C1).
  • Vocation to develop in the field of sustainability consulting.
  • Knowledge of energy simulation and/or life cycle analysis (IES, Hulc, One Click or other advanced simulation or modelling software) will be valuable.
  • Knowledge of building installations, for example, building air conditioning.

Conditions

  • Be enrolled in the university to be able to establish an agreement with the University
  • Immediate incorporation
  • Duration: 6 months of extendable internship (possibility of joining after completing the internship)
  • Schedule:

    From 20 to 40 hours per week to be defined with the student
  • Remuneration: will depend on the student's level of training and the number of hours established.
