Location

In our Teams and Materials Management Department at our headquarters in Madrid.

Purpose

Ensure effective technical support in maritime operations and infrastructures, ensuring that activities with ships and terminals are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. The person to be incorporated will collaborate with projects and installations by providing practical and operation-oriented technical criteria.

Main functions:

  • Specialized support in the maritime branch for both infrastructure development projects and operational installations.
  • Define the technical criteria necessary and review the engineering documentation for maritime projects (LNG and other molecules), ensuring their alignment with internal standards and current regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams in the preparation of tender documents, design type plans, and definition of specialty requirements for the tender phase, as well as in the evaluation of technical offers, to ensure the selection of the product.
  • Keep the area specifications up to date, incorporating operational improvements and regulatory requirements.
  • Support installations in identifying and resolving technical incidents related to maritime equipment and systems, ensuring an agile and effective response.
  • Support in the supervision of works, as well as assist on-site, if required, to Enagás installations to provide the necessary technical support for all required technical assistances.
  • Manage the contracts for supplies or services related to the activities of the infrastructure and maritime equipment.
  • Collect and follow up on the applicable regulations in the specialty area.
  • Review and provide support to infrastructures in establishing maintenance ranges for equipment and installations that allow optimizing their operation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, engineering firms, and technical bodies to ensure the correct execution of works and the technical coherence of the proposed solutions.
  • Ensure specialized technical support in the compatibility of LNG carriers in Enagás regasification plants, ensuring that maritime operations are carried out under safety criteria, international regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Main activities:

  • Compatibility of ships (LNG). Review the essential parameters of ships to confirm their compatibility with terminals and ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Mooring studies. Interpret mooring studies using tools like Optimoor and Shipmooring. Interpret environmental conditions (wind, wave, current), docking restrictions, and vessel operability.
  • Maritime engineering and work. Support the technical evaluation of maritime infrastructures and their interaction with ships, ensuring safe operating conditions.
  • Maritime regulation and international standards. Have knowledge of the application and update criteria derived from IMO (International Maritime Organization), SIGTTO (Society of International Gas Tanker and Terminal Operators), OCIMF (Oil Companies International Marine Forum), Classification Societies (DNV, ABS, LR, BV…) and relevant Spanish and European regulations. Ensure that analyses and operations comply with current recommendations.
  • Experience and operational support in gas carriers. Provide practical experience on LNG gas carrier operations and associated activities: docking, mooring, cargo transfer, inerting, purging, safety. Assist in simulations, operational reviews, and continuous improvement studies.
