The Opportunity

We are looking for a Functional Blockchain Consultant – Digital Assets with at least 4 years of experience in consulting or the financial sector. Within the Emerging Technologies area in the financial and insurance sector, the person will participate in strategic programs linked to the adoption of digital assets and blockchain technology in financial entities.

They will be responsible for the functional definition and evolution of digital asset solutions (custody, tokenization, payments, stable coins), acting as a bridge between business and technology to design end-to-end solutions that integrate on-chain and off-chain processes. The role requires aligning blockchain capabilities with the operational and regulatory models of the financial sector, ensuring functional viability, regulatory compliance, and business adoption.

They will act as a functional and SME (Subject Matter Expert) leader, defining use cases, requirements, and operational models, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability in the implementation of solutions.

Your Main Functions

• Functional definition of digital asset and blockchain solutions (use cases, journeys, processes).
• Design of operational models for:
  
  - custody (self / third-party / hybrid) - tokenization of assets - payments and settlement (incl. stable coins)
• Translation of business requirements into functional specifications and collaboration with technical teams.
• Definition of end-to-end processes integrating on-chain and off-chain flows.
• Analysis of regulatory impact (MiCA, AML/KYC, travel rule, custody of crypto assets).
• Identification and prioritization of use cases (value vs viability).
• Definition of service models and value proposition for clients (retail, institutional).
• Support in the definition of functional architecture and selection of solutions/vendor.
• Coordination with stakeholders:
  
  - business - IT - compliance - risk
• Participation in digital transformation programs and adoption of digital assets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or similar.
• Valuable Master’s Degree in Finance, Digital Transformation or Blockchain.
• Spanish:
  Native / Bilingual
• English: C1 (MCER) – professional use in international environments
• Certifications in blockchain/digital assets (e.g., CFA Digital Assets, Consen Sys, Hyperledger) are a plus.
• Functional knowledge of digital assets: cryptocurrencies, tokenization, stable coins, CBDCs.
• Understanding of blockchain ecosystems and DLT (public and permissioned).
• Knowledge of applicable financial regulation (MiCA, AML/KYC, Travel Rule).
• Ability to define functional and design end-to-end processes (on-chain / off-chain).
• Experience in translating business requirements into functional specifications.
• Stakeholder management skills (business, IT, compliance, risk).
• Analytical thinking and orientation to use cases and value generation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (committee level).

Experience in:

• Digital asset initiatives / blockchain - digital banking transformation - functional or business analysis.
• Banking experience (retail, corporate, payments or capital markets).
• Valuable experience in:
  
  - digital asset custody - asset tokenization - digital payments / stable coins.
• Knowledge of process modeling tools (BPMN, Visio, etc.).
• Familiarity with APIs, integration, and digital architectures (conceptual level).
• Understanding of blockchain platforms (Ethereum, Hyperledger, etc.) at a functional level.
