Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department

Job Description

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department (ED) in Albemarle, North Carolina. The assignment lasts 13 weeks with 12‑hour night shifts and a total of 36 hours per week.

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement patient care under physician instructions.
• Provide basic bedside care, including checking vital signs and monitoring patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Clean and bandage wounds, provide IV therapy, and maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Document medical history and patient information, check for allergies, and plan long‑term care needs.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

• Registered Nurse license.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care or emergency department experience.
• CCLS certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, NIH.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds (patients may weigh up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to cope with stress and communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Additional certifications may be required before the assignment begins.

The pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week. A tax‑free stipend amount will be determined.
