Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays Floating Requirements: Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, any Freestanding ED within Region, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: every other
- No call
- Holiday Expectations:
Travelers will work 75% of holidays - RTO:
Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
- Albemarle, NC (about an hour from Charlotte, NC)
- 109 Licensed Beds
- No Trauma Designation
- Not a Teaching Hospital – no residents/students
- Advanced Primary Stroke Center
- Radius rule:
Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
- Beds: 16
Experience:
2 years ED RN experience (Resource Team requirement)
Will you accept a first-time traveler:

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Pediatric and Adult
- COPD, CHF, Chest Pain, MI, N-STEMI, Stroke, TIA, new onset cardiac arrhythmia, uncontrolled DM, minor trauma
- RN
: 1:4-5, based on acuity - CNA
: 1:10
Certifications:
- RN: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI. CPI can be obtained within 30 days of starting; TNCC (preferred)
- General ED skillset - Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, vent management, chest tubes, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation, Client Assessments, etc.

- Charge nurse: may or may not have patient assignment
- IV/VAT Team:
Ancillary dept, but not in house every day - RT, 24/7
- Hospitalist, 24/7
- ED Physician Team
- Bedside and Central Tele Monitoring

General med-surg equipment and tele monitors
- Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
- Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, any Freestanding ED within Region, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)
- If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
