What We Need

As part of 2K's Global Loc 2.0 strategy, the Content Localization (CLOC) team is scaling its leadership capabilities to ensure consistent, high-quality language execution across all titles and content types. We are seeking an Assistant Manager, Content Localization to provide day-to-day oversight of language teams, support operational planning, and guide the execution of localization content workflows in alignment with 2K's linguistic standards.

This role is ideal for someone with deep language expertise and growing leadership experience, ready to take on people management responsibilities while continuing to support execution and operational coordination.

As an Assistant Manager in the Content Localization team, you'll help lead the daily language execution that shapes how 2K's stories are told and experienced worldwide. You'll support the growth of talented linguists, strengthen team operations, and help ensure that our content hits the right tone, every time, in every region.

What You'll Do

Manage a small team of Language Leads, Linguistic Specialists, or reviewers, ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality standards, and content consistency

Coordinate daily language production across text, UI, VO scripts, and marketing copy, partnering closely with Localization Producers and content teams

Support issue resolution and escalation around terminology, tone, style, and cultural appropriateness, conferring with more senior CLOC leadership on complex matters

Track delivery progress, bug triage loops, and localization review milestones, ensuring clear documentation and prioritization

Ensure team members have the tools, guidance, and context needed to execute effectively

Provide performance input and mentorship for direct reports, supporting training, onboarding, and development conversations

Collaborate with cross-functional partners (LQA, VO, Marketing Loc) to ensure consistent content flow and terminology alignment

Recommend modest process improvements to improve consistency, task clarity, and cross-team efficiency

Participate in hiring and onboarding activities for new linguistic contributors

Ensure shared content resources (style guides, glossaries, reference documentation) are maintained and communicated effectively

Represent your language teams in planning meetings, sprint reviews, or milestone retrospectives as needed

What Will Make You A Great Fit

Experience in content localization or linguistics, ideally in games, media, or entertainment

Strong understanding of language quality principles, including tone-of-voice, transcreation, and cultural nuance

Familiarity with localization tools such as CAT platforms, terminology management systems, Jira, Confluence, and CMS tools

Proven ability to manage schedules, track tasks, and support language execution across multiple work streams

Prior experience mentoring or guiding peers, or managing small teams

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Fluent in English; fluency in at least one supported language is strongly preferred

Bachelor's degree in linguistics, translation, localization, or a related field preferred
