Responsibilities
Non-Exempt position. Performs analyses on biological specimens, e.g. blood and urine, to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
2-year commitment to this position is required.
QualificationsBaccalaureate Degree in one of the following:
- Medical Technology (MT)
- Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)
- Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS)
Or Bachelor’s degree plus Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), or Medical Technology (MT), as recognized by NAACLS, is required. An HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree. Applicants needing visa sponsorship must possess CGFNS Visa Screen certification upon application. Preferred: experience working in a medical field.
Required:
moderate to advanced computer skills. Must possess good written and oral communication skills, ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects. Preferred: phlebotomy. Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed. Basic Life Support certification may be required within six months of hire, depending on location. Limited X‑Ray Machine Operator (LXMO) certification may be required depending on location.

Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended; $32.43 – $48.66 per hour.
ScheduleFull Time, 80 hours per pay period. Primarily 2nd shift starting ry 3rd weekend: night shift Friday & Saturday.
