Packaging Operator

Carpenter has an immediate opening for a Packaging Worker on the 1st shift (6:30 am‑3:00 pm) at our Albert Lea, MN manufacturing plant. The role involves packaging, labeling and processing customer orders, and assisting with the loading and shipping of foam products as needed.

• Good attendance and a safe working attitude.
• Learn packaging and loading requirements and quality standards for finished parts.
• Perform repetitive motions with hands, arms and fingers during packaging.
• Assist in loading and unloading trailers by hand.
• Work in trailers during extreme cold and warm weather (excluding refrigeration operations).
• Stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 40 lb when required.
• Operate computer for order lookup, printing and labeling/shipment needs.
• Identify raw material locations and help organize inventory as requested.

• Package foam products by hand – 60‑80 %
• Paperwork and processing orders/shipments – 10‑20 %
• Assist loading trucks and pallets by hand – 5‑10 %

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read specification drawings to learn assembly of finished parts.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.

• Basic computer operation experience.
• Manufacturing experience (minimum 2 years).
• Some knowledge of SAP.
• Self‑starter attitude and teamwork skills.
