Innovance, Inc. is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our Manufacturing & Production team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC and manual brake press machines to form metal components to precise specifications. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting tooling, adjusting machine settings, performing quality checks, and completing production documentation. You'll collaborate closely with engineering and production staff, support continuous improvement, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and manual brake press machines to form metal parts to spec
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Select, install, and adjust tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Monitor machine operation, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain accurate production and quality records in accordance with procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on process improvements
- Follow 5
- S and continuous improvement practices to enhance efficiency
- Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Assist with basic preventive maintenance on brake press and related equipment
Required Skills
- Brake press setup and operation
- CNC press brake programming (e.g., Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic)
- Reading blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Basic GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
- Quality inspection and documentation
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting
- Shop math (fractions, decimals, angles)
