Innovance, Inc., an employee-owned manufacturing and engineering company in Albert Lea, Minnesota, is seeking a skilled Welder to support its metal fabrication and industrial solutions. In this on-site role, you will interpret blueprints, set up and operate MIG/TIG and stick welding equipment, and fabricate high-quality components for automation systems, precision machining projects, and custom industrial products. You will inspect welds, maintain equipment, and follow strict safety and quality standards.

Working within a collaborative, continuous-improvement culture, you'll partner with engineers and teammates to solve complex fabrication challenges and support lean initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and welding symbols to fabricate and repair metal components
  • Set up and operate MIG/TIG and stick welding equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform layout, cutting, fitting, and welding of steel and other metals to specifications
  • Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to industry and company standards
  • Use grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools to finish parts and assemblies
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 5
  • S/lean practices in the shop
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to resolve fabrication issues
  • Maintain welding equipment and report needed repairs or adjustments
  • Document work performed and complete required production and quality records
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and training of peers as needed
