AmTech is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Quality Manager to lead food safety, quality assurance, laboratory operations, and sanitation programs within a growing food manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and industry standards while driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout the facility.

About the Role Quality & Food Safety Leadership
  • Lead and continuously improve the facility's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, GFSI/FSSC 22000, customer requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and verify food safety programs and preventive controls
  • Direct cross‑functional Food Safety Team activities, audits, and review meetings
  • Ensure food safety plans, corrective actions, and verification activities are effectively executed and documented.
Regulatory & Customer Compliance
  • Serve as the primary site contact for regulatory agencies, third‑party auditors, and customer audits.
  • Manage inspections, audit preparation, corrective action responses, and compliance reporting.
  • Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to company policies and regulations.
Quality Assurance & Laboratory Management
  • Oversee Quality Assurance and Laboratory operations, including microbiological, chemical, physical, and sensory testing.
  • Coordinate sampling and testing activities with production teams.
  • Establish standards for inspection, sampling, testing, and product evaluation.
  • Investigate consumer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate Quality Assurance, Laboratory, and Sanitation personnel.
  • Establish departmental priorities, training programs, and performance expectations.
  • Foster collaboration between Quality, Production, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, Biology, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of quality leadership experience in food manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of management experience in food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, FSSC 22000, GFSI standards, and food safety regulations.
  • Experience leading audits and managing quality systems.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
