General Facilities Maintenance Technician

Walmart is expanding its workforce and is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. The role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures.

Under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, you will adhere to established maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, clean, repair facilities, equipment and fixtures, and respond to emergency maintenance calls.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment and assets using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Ability to move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in various temperatures
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Vocational or technical certification plus 1 year of experience, or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
