Manufacturing Engineer – Foundry Operations
Focused on Mueller foundry engineering and operations, the ideal candidate will leverage strong technical knowledge to develop and deploy solutions for optimized productivity, asset utilization and cost reduction. This role provides a broad range of experiences across metallurgical, simulation, green sand, tool design, equipment, quality and operations support, and involves leading and managing mission‑critical projects to improve foundry throughput, cost efficiency and technology upgrades.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Develop a strong working knowledge of foundry technical operations.
- Manage key projects in support of improved foundry throughput, cost efficiency and technology upgrades.
- Support daily operations with problem definition, root‑cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Perform related duties related to manufacturing engineering (project management, capital prioritization & tracking, engineering tools such as PFMEA, equipment qualification, capacity analysis, RCFA, etc.).
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Foundry or Industrial Technologies, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering. - Relevant work experience.
- Preferred:
Team player with excellent written and communication skills, capital project‑management aptitude/experience, ability to work independently and adapt to change quickly, effective problem‑solving and delivery of high‑quality results, openness to new challenges and business environments, ability to translate strategic direction into actionable and demonstrable results, strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, familiarity with modeling software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, Magma, etc.
