Bachoco Group - Portioning Supervisor (2nd Shift) – Albertville, AL

Overview

The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Superintendent and ensures that production on the assigned line runs efficiently and safely to produce first‑quality product that meets customer needs and specifications.

Functional Responsibilities
  • Supervises a team of hourly hand portioners.
  • Responsible for safety, performance, yields, staffing, time and attendance, training, and corrective actions for the assigned shift.
  • Follows and enforces company policies & procedures, Food Safety Guidelines and GMP procedures.
  • Works with other departments on the shift to ensure all customer specifications and USDA requirements are met.
  • Completes daily shift reporting, including employee time edits.
  • Maximizes yields and through puts while maintaining quality standards.
  • Participates in interviews for open positions.
  • Ensures safety and job‑specific training are conducted on the shift.
  • Prepares the shift for customer and BRC audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience in poultry operations.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence to get results.
  • Experience in portioning or portioning operations.
  • Bi‑lingual a plus.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 2‑3 years of relevant experience. Reasonable accommodations may be made. Knowledge of payroll systems, spreadsheet and word processing software is required. Physical demands: lifting up to 75 lbs, standing, walking, hearing, speaking, vision requirements. Work environment: wet, humid, mechanical parts, fumes, high/low temperatures, loud noise.
