Production Manager
Bachoco USA is seeking a Portioning Supervisor on the 2nd Shift for our Albertville, AL location.
Primary ResponsibilityThe Portioning Supervisor reports to the Production Superintendent and is responsible for ensuring that production on the assigned line is run efficiently and safely to ensure production of first-quality product to meet customer needs and specifications.
Functional Responsibilities- Supervises a team of hourly hand portioners.
- Responsible for safety, performance, yields, staffing, time and attendance, training, and corrective actions for the assigned shift.
- Follows and enforces company policies and procedures, Food Safety Guidelines, and GMP procedures.
- Works with other departments on the assigned shift to ensure all customer specifications and USDA requirements are met.
- Completes daily reporting for the shift including employee time edits.
- Maximizes yields and throughput while maintaining quality standards.
- Participates in interviews for open positions.
- Ensures that safety and job-specific training are conducted on the assigned shift.
- Ensures that the assigned shift is prepared for customer and BRC audits.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Experience in portioning or portioning operations.

Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university preferred, or two to three years of relevant experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
ReasoningAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of payroll systems; spreadsheet software; and word processing software.
