Hatchery Worker Labor/Production
This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks:
Must be able and willing to learn safe, efficient operation of hatchery machinery. Must be willing and able to fix minor issues with hatchery machinery. Must be willing and able to clean hatchery machinery. Must be willing and able to load/remove baskets and trays weighing 10 lbs. to 15 lbs. from machines. Must be willing and able to bend and lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
from 6" high to 5'6" high repetitively. Must be willing and able to push/pull buggies of eggs weighing up to 500 lbs. Must be willing and able to cull non-viable chicks from viable chicks.

Schedule:
5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Times may vary.) Must be willing to work flexible hours and willing to work most holidays. Must be willing to rotate jobs. Must be willing to stand/walk on concrete floors 4 to 5 days per week, 8 to 10 hours per day. Must be willing to work 6 days per week if needed. Must be willing to climb ladders/stairs.
Must be willing to work in extreme hot/cold environments. Must be willing and able to tolerate chick down and the smell of rotten eggs. Must be willing to work with cleaning chemicals. Must be willing to follow all Hatchery Safety rules/regulations. Must be willing to follow all Animal Welfare Guidelines. Must be willing to wear appropriate PPE as required.
