Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is seeking an Operations Tech, Finishing to support precision manufacturing of orthopedic implants and instruments. In this role you will set up and operate finishing equipment such as deburring, polishing, blasting, and cleaning systems to meet exacting medical device specifications. You will inspect parts using gauges and measurement tools, document results, and follow strict quality and regulatory procedures.

Working in a team-based, engineering-driven environment, you will help drive continuous improvement in safety, throughput, and product quality while supporting on-time delivery for global orthopedic OEM customers.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate finishing equipment such as deburring, polishing, blasting, and cleaning systems
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and process specifications for orthopedic components
  • Inspect parts using gauges, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify tolerances
  • Document inspections, production data, and quality records per medical device requirements
  • Handle and stage parts to prevent damage and maintain traceability
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all EHS and regulatory procedures
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality, and production teams to resolve issues
  • Support continuous improvement, 5
  • S, and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs
  • Assist with training and cross-training within the finishing area

Required Skills

  • Finishing equipment operation (deburr, polish, blast, clean)
  • Reading blueprints and work instructions

  • Basic understanding of GMP/ISO 13485 requirements
