Overview
Physician Office RN or LPN performs all aspects of patient care within the scope of RN or LPN and not limited by Alabama Law or Hospital Policy.
Provides nursing care to patients under the direction of a physician who present with a broad range of medical complaints. The job includes, but is not limited to, receiving patients, performing vital signs, specimen collection, giving injections, documenting charts as necessary, communicating clinical information to patients and other essential parties, maintaining all appropriate clinical logs as defined by MMC guidelines, and assisting other staff as necessary.

- Performing routine lab tests
- Administering drugs and injections
- Documenting charts
- Assisting with prior authorizations and patient assistance pharmaceutical paperwork coordination
- Patient care
- Assisting Physician with procedures
- Patient call backs with appropriate documentation
- Assisting front office as needed
RN
Education:
High school graduate or GED.
Graduate of School of Nursing with a minimum 2-year degree and current Alabama license.
LPN
Education:
High School graduate or GED.
Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse Program
Licensure/Certification for RN or LPN:
- Licensure by the Alabama State Board of Nursing
Previous experience in physician office setting is preferred but not required.
CPR and first-aid certified.
Must possess excellent verbal and written skills and be able to adapt to emergency situations quickly.
