Role Description

The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care in an on-site clinical setting in Albertville, focusing on both occupational medicine and urgent care services. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing patient assessments, diagnosing and treating minor illnesses and injuries, conducting physicals and screenings, and managing workers’ compensation cases in collaboration with employers and clinical staff. The role involves ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing appropriate medications, documenting care in the medical record, and educating patients on treatment plans and preventive health measures.

The practitioner will work closely with support staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care and adherence to clinic protocols. This is a part-time position requiring consistent commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered practice.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in Nurse Practitioner practice, including independent assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Strong foundation in Nursing principles and patient-centered care across diverse populations.
  • Clinical proficiency in Medicine relevant to occupational health, workers’ compensation, and minor urgent conditions.
  • Hands-on experience in Urgent Care environments, including walk-in visits and rapid patient triage.
  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and certification (FNP) in Alabama.
  • Advanced practice degree (Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing) from an accredited institution.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and commitment to equitable, non-discriminatory care.
