Job Description & How to Apply Below

Yellowstone Local is proud to represent Mazama Services, an industry leader in water treatment, sewer and drain, excavation, and water clean-up/restoration.

If you’re dependable, mechanically minded, and ready to build real field-service skills, Mazama Services has multiple career paths where your work ethic can take you further.

What's in it for You?
  • Multiple Field Service Technician career tracks across North Alabama, with placement based on your strengths, experience, schedule availability, and preferred work environment

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) health and dental coverage, with the company paying 50% of the employee rate

  • 401(k) with a 3% company match

  • Paid time off (PTO)

  • Company-provided uniforms

  • Optional employee-paid Aflac and Legal Shield benefits

  • Company vehicles, tablets, tools, specialty equipment, and field equipment provided based on your assigned track and role requirements

  • Training on company systems, safety procedures, equipment, Service Titan where applicable, and track-specific technical work

  • 4-6 weeks of hands-on ride-along training to learn the role alongside experienced team members

  • 90-day training and evaluation period to support your development and ensure you’re set up for success in your assigned track

  • Approximately 40 hours per week, generally during weekday daytime hours, with technicians typically arriving at their first job by 8:00 a.m. and wrapping up around 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Why You’ll Love It Here
  • You don’t need experience in every service area.

  • Build hands-on expertise in water treatment systems, sewer and drain service, excavation, or water damage clean-up and restoration.

  • Get matched to a career track that fits your strengths and preferred working style rather than being pushed into a one-size-fits-all position.

  • Work with a team that values safe work, accountability, professional customer service, honest communication, and follow-through.

  • Learn practical mechanical troubleshooting and field-service skills with opportunities to expand your technical capabilities.

Your New Role
  • Work as a Field Service Technician serving customers and projects throughout North Alabama, which includes Huntsville, Birmingham, Decatur, Albertville, Gadsden, and Anniston, AL markets.

  • Perform hands-on field work within your assigned water treatment, sewer and drain, excavation, or water clean-up/restoration track.

  • Diagnose problems, operate appropriate tools and equipment, and learn how residential and field-service systems work.

  • Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers, including explaining field conditions accurately without exaggeration or pressure.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and take ownership of assigned equipment and follow-through.

  • Follow company safety procedures and role-specific technical standards.

  • Meet the physical and environmental requirements of your assigned track, which may include lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds and working around wastewater, mud, demolition, or contaminated conditions.

  • Depending on your role, schedules generally follow weekday daytime hours, with some positions requiring occasional overtime, weekend work, or rotating on-call/emergency coverage.

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

  • Dependable, coachable, and committed to safe work practices

  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers

  • Willingness to learn field service, mechanical troubleshooting, equipment operation, and technical systems

  • Ability to take ownership of mistakes, documentation, equipment, and assigned work

  • Ability to satisfy the schedule, physical, and environmental requirements of the Field Service Technician track you accept

  • Prior field service, plumbing, drain cleaning, water treatment, excavation, restoration, mechanical, or construction experience is helpful but not required for every track

Mazama Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. #yellow
