Job Summary
Operation of plant process is essential to a safe and efficient plant operations and product quality. The position requires knowledge of process operations, quality systems and a safety mindset. The position supplements and supports ongoing efforts of continuous improvement of all plant processes/operation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Move railcars in and out of unloading station using railcar tugger
- Unloading of railcars into the proper storage tank
- Receiving incoming raw materials
- Monitor coal milling operations and ensure adjustments are made as needed
- Operate blending equipment to process preapproved customer orders
- Assist with maintenance tasks as needed
- Perform clean up duties to ensure a safe and comfortable work environment
- Operate forklift as needed
- Load and unload bulk pneumatic trucks
- Perform all other work as deemed necessary by plant manager
- Must be able to lift 50# from floor to waist.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to climb stairs and rung ladders and not afraid of heights.
- Computer knowledge very helpful
Continuous Improvement/Lean
Acts as resource and champion for department continuous improvement activities (Suggestion Program, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, problem solving, etc.).

- Operator will be required to assist in all other areas of plant clean up, maintenance projects and clerical responsibilities as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be very safety orientated for themselves and others. Be responsible for his/her actions and willing to learn and work on their own. Can work with/cooperate and get along with others. Computer knowledge a plus. Maintenance background a plus.

Education:
High School diploma/GED
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
This position requires knowledge of process operations, quality systems and safety.
Travel:
This position does not ordinarily require travel. Travel for coursework or education could be required on a very infrequent basis. Some opportunity for travel could be available if desired to assist other plants within the network.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing setting – warehouse, production facility, rail car unloading and sand conveyor. Working in all outdoor elements is required.
Work Hours:
Hourly, Monday – Friday. Standard 40 hours per week. Occasional opportunity for OT
Safety Training:
Required training will be given on site.
