The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient accounting processes. This role manages accounting staff, reviews financial records, and supports strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and all general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal company policies
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes
- Coordinate audits and serve as primary support for the CFO in working with external auditors
- Develop, document, and improve accounting policies and internal controls
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and variances, providing insights to management
- Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff
- Support financial planning, reporting, and special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with Quick Books, Microsoft Office and Share Point
- Must have Blackline experience
