Accounting Specialist

Manage day-to-day financial operations, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, time sheets, payroll processing, and month-end closing procedures. This role requires a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, ensuring data accuracy in Sage 50, compliance with tax regulations, and generating financial reports for management.

• Sage 50 Management: Perform daily data entry, account reconciliation, and journal entries within Sage 50.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage full-cycle AP/AR, including vendor invoices, client billing, and EFT/check payments.
• Reconciliation & Closing: Reconcile bank statements and GL accounts, supporting month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Payroll & Tax: Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll taxes and annual IRS forms.
• Financial Reporting: Generate, analyze, and review monthly financial statements and operational reports.
• Analysis: Troubleshoot accounting discrepancies and review inventory/ledger entries.

• Experience: 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software preferred.

  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
• Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Anticipated Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour +/- DOE
