Project Accountant

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year.

• Manage project financials from start to completion.
• Track job costs, budgets, and project performance.
• Prepare and maintain WIP (Work In Progress) schedules.
• Review and process subcontractor invoices and billings.
• Assist with monthly close, including project‑related journal entries.
• Monitor project budgets and identify cost variances.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Support audits and maintain proper documentation.

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Experience with job costing and project‑based accounting.
• Familiarity with WIP reporting and percentage of completion methods.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 100/300, Quick Books, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
