The Accounting Manager will oversee all financial operations for our nonprofit organization, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining high‑quality accounting standards. This role reports directly to the Director of Finance and plays a key part in supporting leadership through accurate financial reporting, strategic oversight, and mission‑aligned financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Director of Finance.
  • Oversee all accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Coordinate and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy across all accounts.
  • Prepare and manage monthly depreciation and allocation schedules for all entities.
  • Oversee audit and tax functions to ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures across financial accounting, reporting, and employee relations.
  • Ensure proficiency and compliance with corporate and nonprofit accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage corporate and HR‑related activities, including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance, and coordination across satellite offices.
  • Prepare, manage, and report on all grant budgets.
  • Supervise accounting staff, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives and mission impact.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Relevant work experience or formal training in related duties (preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and Quick Books.
  • Deep understanding of nonprofit and corporate accounting principles and regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing accounting staff.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

$70,000 - $85,000
