RoleSummary:
Responsible for the creation, maintenance and reconciliation of rebate contracts in SAP. This person must effectively partner with Corporate Purchasing, Service Center Leaders, Operations Managers, Account Managers and branch-level Accounts Payable Associates to maintain a high level of accuracy in our systems. The purpose of this role is to support internal associates to enable them to service our customers while maximizing profitability.
PrincipalAccountabilities (essential job functions)
- Responsible for the entire rebate process including rebate agreement loading, transmission, reconciliation and maintenance
- Submission of rebate claims to vendor via EDI, online, flat file and/or PDF
- Update rebate agreements, materials, stock cost and any other issues found during reconciliation in SAP
- Investigate and conduct root cause analysis of rebate discrepancies between Summit and manufacturer
- Continuous improvement of rebate processes and procedures for higher level of efficiency and effectiveness to maximize rebate $ return to Summit
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High level of Customer focus - both internal and external
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Detail oriented and highly analytical
- Proven ability to maintain several concurrent activities while utilizing strong time management skills
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, hectic work environment
- Proven do "whatever it takes" attitude and approach to work
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
- 5+ years of successful work experience ideally in wholesale distribution
- Experience working with ERP software (SAP/Vistex)
- Knowledge of database architecture and maintenance
- Understanding of discounting, pricing and basic accounting
- Knowledge of electrical products
- Majority of day (85%+) is spent sitting at desk
- Must be able to lift 5 pounds on a regular and consistent basis
- Regular and consistent use of keyboard
- Ability to climb stairs on occasion
- Majority of role is performed in an office environment during regular store hours of operation
