Urban Earth Landscaping is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for our growing landscape company.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping the books accurate, improving accounting processes, staying on top of cash flow, and helping management understand how the business is performing.
What You’ll Do- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow reports
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Manage and improve job costing to help track project profitability
- Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections
- Manage vendor payments and accounts payable
- Assist with cash-flow forecasting and budgeting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and internal accounting procedures
- Coordinate with our outside CPA on taxes, year-end reporting, and other accounting needs
- Work with management to provide useful financial information for business decisions
- Help improve accounting systems and processes as the company grows
- 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience,preferably with increasing responsibility
- Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Experience with month-end closing and financial reporting
- Experience with job costing or project-based accounting preferred
- Proficiency with Quick Books Online and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to identify discrepancies and solve accounting problems
- Dependable, professional, and able to handle confidential financial information
- Landscaping, construction, trades, or field-service accounting experience is a plus
