The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
The Center for Development and Disability, Family and Community Partnerships Division, is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant 2 to work within its Administrative Operations Team. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and work experience reflecting a substantial history of successful customer service-related administrative employment. Those with experience in government agency purchasing processes (particularly in the University setting) and have demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications;
particularly Word and Excel, are strongly encouraged to apply. Past experience providing event and/or travel planning services to professionals will be a definite plus. The ability to communicate and interact with a diverse cross-section of individuals calmly and professionally and articulate ideas in a clear and understandable manner is critical.

Conditions of Employment- If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
- All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Demonstrated purchasing experience, including ordering supplies and inventory control and reconciliation of purchases. Preferably for a large public agency/organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to operate effectively with a team.
- Familiarity and ability to navigate databases to enter data timely and accurately. The ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Intermediate skill level with using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Working knowledge of using Zoom or a similar meeting hosting platform.
- Experience with event and travel planning, scheduling appointments, and reimbursement processing.
