Overview
As a J-Code Administrative Support Specialist in the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) you will help empower the Department of Defense’s navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission ensuring positioning, navigation and timing superiority.
ResponsibilitiesYou will serve as a member of a team providing combatant commanders and joint force commanders with subject matter expertise on planning and conducting NAVWAR by providing knowledge of friendly and enemy NAVWAR order of battle and PNT-related successes and threats.
You will support the Government with the integration, at the theater strategic level, of C4, cyber, and cyberspace operations into JNWC's strategic and operational objectives.
You will ensure proper disposition of significant administration workload to maintain pace and scale of ongoing operations.
You will provide support to action officers planning executive events.
You will maintain personnel and other files; prepare correspondence, deconflict schedules and coordinate travel.
You will assist with the management of Task Management Tool (TMT) and act as a TMT SME providing training to new users.
You will assist in the preparation of documents and support the development of contract deliverables and reports.
Requirements & Qualifications- Current Secret Security Clearance
- Seven years of relevant Administrative Assistance experience
- Four years of Executive Administrative experience
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Must work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment
- Certification as an Administrative Assistant, Administrative Professional, Microsoft Office Specialist or equivalent
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). Applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under the ITAR and the EAR. A “U.S. person” according to their definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee or asylee.
Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
