Why does the job exist?

The Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Administrative Assistant will:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the New Mexico Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program Management Office (PMO);
  • Support implementation of the RHT governance structure by assisting with scheduling, meeting coordination, document management, communications, operational tracking, and administrative activities associated with implementation of the State
    ¿ s five RHT initiatives (1. Healthy Horizons
    2. Rooted in New Mexico
    3. Rural Health Innovation Fund
    4. Bridge to Resilience and 5. Rural Health Data Hub);
  • Help support efficient day-to-day PMO operations and coordination across multiple work streams, stakeholders, contractors, providers, and state agencies.
How does it get done?

The Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Administrative Assistant is responsible for:

  • Providing administrative and operational support for the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program Management Office (PMO);
  • Coordinating calendars, meetings, travel, logistics, meeting materials, agendas, and operational documentation for RHT implementation activities;
  • Supporting document management, communications tracking, scheduling, stakeholder correspondence, meeting notes, and implementation activities across multiple initiatives and work streams;
  • Assisting with preparation and organization of reports, presentations, operational materials, stakeholder communications, and tracking tools;
  • Coordinating with PMO leadership, contractors, providers, state agencies, and external stakeholders to support day-to-day program operations and implementation coordination;
  • Supporting organization of files, records, tracking systems, and administrative processes across the RHT Program portfolio.
Who are the customers?
  • Work is performed for the Health Care Authority (HCA), the RHT Program Management Office, contractors, providers, state agencies, CMS, and program stakeholders to support day-to-day administrative and operational coordination activities associated with the Rural Health Transformation Program.
Ideal Candidate

The Ideal Candidate has:

  • Experience providing administrative, operational, or program support within a public sector, Medicaid, health care, or office environment;
  • Strong organizational, communication, scheduling, and administrative coordination skills, with experience managing calendars, meetings, documentation, correspondence, and operational processes;
  • Experience supporting large-scale programs, multiple stakeholders, or fast-paced office environments is preferred;
  • The ability to demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
