The Office Support Clerk will:
- Provide specialized high-level clerical support to the Child Support Services Division (CSSD) field office.
The Office Support Clerk is responsible for:
- Applying knowledge of systems, processes and procedures, and federal time frames;
- Opening and sorting mail daily;
- Answering customer service phone calls;
- Acknowledging payments into CSES system;
- Processing payment transmittal and payments into Wells Fargo bank.
- Child Support Services Division (CSSD) field office management and staff;
- Parties of child support cases.
The Ideal Candidate has experience:
- Performing a variety of clerical duties such as filing, typing, data entry, word processing, and using computer software applications;
- Researching information;
- Coordinating clerical operations.
No prior experience or training required.
Employment Requirements- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
- Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
- Employment is subject to a pre‑employment criminal background investigation and is conditional pending results.
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
Bargaining Unit PositionThis position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and all terms/conditions of that agreement apply and must be adhered to.
